PrimeBiz Hotel Kuta Helps Improve Primary School Toilets of SD Negeri 1 Antap Selemadeg - Tabanan

Primary education plays a crucial role in shaping a skilled and successful generation. However, the quality of education is not only determined by what happens in the classroom but also by the facilities that support the learning process. One of the essential facilities is a clean and healthy toilet. Many primary schools in Bali still face the challenge of inadequate toilet facilities, which can hinder the comfort and health of students.

Seeing this issue, PrimeBiz Hotel Kuta was motivated to take action and help improve toilet facilities in primary schools. Through the Green Box charity program, which collects donations from hotel guests, employees, and the company's CSR funds, PrimeBiz Hotel Kuta has made a tangible contribution to creating a better learning environment.

 

On November 29, 2025, PrimeBiz Kuta symbolically handed over three renovated toilet stalls as part of the Clean and Healthy Toilet (TBS) program to SD Negeri 1 Antap in Tabanan. The Acting Head of the School, Mrs. Gusti Ayu Kadek Ratna Yati, S.Pd.SD, expressed her heartfelt gratitude for PrimeBiz Hotel Kuta's concern, which helped improve the school's toilet facilities, allowing students and the school community to use clean and comfortable toilets again.

Wayan Warta, General Manager of PrimeBiz Hotel Kuta, explained that the TBS program is a manifestation of the company's social responsibility, participating in the collective effort to improve the nation's education. This program started in 2018 with toilet renovations at SD 3 Negari, Banjarangkan in Klungkung and SD 1 Talibeng, Sidemen Karangasem in 2019. The program was temporarily halted in 2020-2022 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but resumed in 2023 with renovations at SD 1 Jehem Tembuku in Bangli, and now SD 1 Antap Selemadeg in Tabanan.

PrimeBiz Hotel Kuta hopes that the TBS program will continue to provide maximum benefits and reach more primary schools across Bali in the coming years, helping create a more comfortable and healthy learning environment for students.

PrimeBiz Kuta Helps Renovate Elementary School Toilets at SD Negeri 5 Jehem, Tembuku - Bangli

On December 11, 2023, PrimeBiz Hotel Kuta through the Green Box charity movement carried out the handover of assistance for the Clean and Healthy Toilet (TBS) program at SD Negeri 5 Jehem, Tembuku District, Bangli Regency.

Green Box collects donations from guests who stay and voluntary donations from PrimeBiz Hotel Kuta employees. The funds collected are then distributed to selected elementary schools in remote villages in Bali in order to participate in providing standard sanitation facilities to support the government's efforts to educate the nation.

The handover ceremony took place lively with various art performances from students under the guidance of enthusiastic teachers witnessed by the Village Secretary and members of the school committee.

This school toilet repair program is the third program after previously being carried out at SDN 3 Negari Banjarangkan Klungkung in 2018 and at SDN 1 Talibeng, Sidemen Karangasem in 2019.

Hopefully this Clean and Healthy Toilet program will bring benefits to the school community and can help create a healthy and intelligent young generation.

PrimeBiz Hotel Kuta Renovating Elementary School Toilets at SD Negeri 1 Talibeng, Sidemen - Karangasem

PrimeBiz Hotel Kuta for the second time successfully completed the “Toilet Bersih dan Sehat" (Indonesian for clean and healthy toilet) program or TBS in the form of funding assistance to renovate toilet buildings at SD No. 1 Talibeng, Sidemen District, Karangasem Regency, Bali. The activity, which come as Green Box charity program, is a part of company participation to support the government program in educating the nation through the provision of appropriate school facilities to support teaching and learning in schools. The project handover was conducted on October 23, 2019 by Wayan Warta as the General Manager of PrimeBiz Hotel Kuta to representatives of SDN 1 Talibeng at the local school.

The 'Toilet Bersih dan Sehat' (Indonesian for Clean and Healthy Toilet) program is one of the PrimeBiz Hotel Kuta’s CSR many initiatives besides other social and environmental preservation. In its implementation the TBS program is designed to involve as many workers as possible around the school and the material procurement also uses the services of local material stores. This is done so to ensure that this assistance truly provides economic benefits to the community around the school and builds a sense of community ownership and concern for the existence of the school.

"From our observations in a number of elementary schools, toilet facilities often receive less attention, even though toilet facilities play an important role in supporting the teaching and learning process in schools. In addition, clean and healthy toilet facilities can be used as a very important educational media to instill a healthy lifestyle from an early age. This is the reason we run the TBS program. We hope that the handover of toilet facilities will have a good impact on all school residents", said Yenny Jayanti, Human Resources Coordinator who is also the coordinator of this activity.

In addition to coming from the company's CSR funds, funding for this program also comes from the Green Box charity program, voluntary donations from employees and donations from guests who stay overnight. Last year the same program was also carried out at Negari 3 State Elementary School, Banjarangkan District in Klungkung Regency.

GREEN BOX Clean and Healthy Toilet Program for SD Negeri 3 Negari, Banjarangkan - Klungkung

On December 5, 2018, the GREEN BOX team from PrimeBiz Hotel Kuta handed over assistance in the form of repairing toilet facilities for SD Negeri 3 Negari, Banjarangkan District, Klungkung Regency, Bali. The toilet facilities consisting of three rooms are now equipped with ceramic floors and walls, clean water and good lighting.

"The existence of clean and healthy toilet facilities greatly supports the implementation of teaching and learning activities. We express our deepest gratitude to the PrimeBiz Kuta hotel for voluntarily helping to repair the condition of the toilets in our school so that they are more suitable," said Wayan Narka, Principal of SDN 3 Negari during the handover ceremony.

Toilet Bersih dan Sehat or TBS program (Indonesian for clean and healthy toilet) is one of the programs carried out by GREEN BOX which is an initiative of PrimeBiz Hotel Kuta in the social sector to participate in improving the quality of education, especially basic education in Bali. Another GREEN BOX program is a donation collection program from hotel guests to support the Yayasan Gerakan Nasional Orang Tua Asuh (GNOTA) program together with all PrimeBiz Hotels throughout Indonesia under the Prime Plaza Hotels & Resorts network.

From the survey process, planning and implementation of the TBS program took three months involving a core team consisting of PrimeBiz Kuta employees, school officials and the community around the school. "In implementing this TBS program, we deliberately used the services of construction workers from the local village and also purchased all building materials from shops around the school. In addition to helping the local economy, we hope that this will increase community participation to take part in owning and caring about the existence of school facilities," said Yenny Jayanti, HR Coordinator of PrimeBiz Hotel Kuta who acted as Project Leader in this project.

The aid handover ceremony was lively with Balinese dance performances and poetry readings from children of SDN 3 Negari and continued with training on how to clean toilets from the PrimeBiz Hotel Kuta's Housekeeping team.
